The Reston Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is pleased to announce its Annual Scholarship Award Program to 2021 graduating high school seniors of Herndon High School, South Lakes High School and Tuscarora High School.
 
The Links, Incorporated, is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 16,000 professional women of African descent in 288 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
 
The Reston Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, serving the community since 1975, is proud to continue our Annual Scholarship Award Program:
 
Scholarships to assist graduating high school students who are planning to attend a college/university.  Note: an HBCU Scholarship is awarded to a student who plans to attend a Historical Black College or University (HBCU).
 
The Marilyn Lightfoote, MD, Scholarship to assist a minority female high school student who will major in a STEM related field at a four-year institution.
