The Links, Incorporated, founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are linked in friendship and committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.  The membership consists of 17,000 professional women of color in 299 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

The Eastern Area of The Links, Incorporated is comprised of 82 chapters in the states of Connecticut, Delaware. District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia.

Chartered in 1975 in the Eastern Area, the Reston Chapter of The Links, Incorporated provides exceptional service programs to residents in Northern Virginia. The award winning programming of Reston Chapter mirrors that of our national organization.  We have five programming facets which include The Arts, Health and Human Services, International Trends and Services, National Trends and Services and Services to Youth. Our programs are implemented through a variety of approaches including public information and education, economic development, and public policy campaigns, partnerships and collaborations, and volunteerism.

This year we are celebrating 48 years of friendship and service, bringing exceptional services to Northern Virginia.
