The Reston Chapter partners with other DMV chapters of the Links, Incorporated, to raise funds for the purpose of fighting women’s heart disease.  The event is held every February in recognition of Heart Health Month and features panel discussions, health screenings, blood pressure testing, and weight management instruction.  The other participating DMV Link Chapters include Arlington (VA); Capital City (DC); Metropolitan (DC), Mount Rose (MD); Old Dominion (VA); Patuxent River (MD); Prince George's County (MD); Potomac (VA); Silver Spring (MD) and Washington (DC).[Picture]
The DMV Links Red Dress Event is a free event for the community featuring noted medical, mental health and oral health professionals, reservations are required and the event quickly fills up.

This year's event starts at 6:00 PM with a vendor showcase and heart healthy reception featuring light refreshments.  Some vendors have merchandise for sale, others offer free screenings and other heart healthy information.  

The forum begins at 7:00 PM with speakers an a panel discussion.  There will also be door prizes, give-aways and more!  The community is encouraged to bring $10 gift cards for community partner Dress for Success DC.

Health Walks and Wellness SeminarsEach year the Reston Chaptor co-hosts and/or participates in health walks in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Our focus is on bringing awareness to healthy lifestyle habits and kidney health, through the Kidney Foundation's Kidney Walk.
